ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Lima

Arrive in Lima and settle in at the Wyndham Costa del Sol Inn, conveniently located across from the airport. Relax and rest before your Peruvian adventure begins.

Day 2: Arrival in Cusco

Fly to Cusco and immerse yourself in the ancient Andean capital. Stroll cobblestone streets filled with Quechua-speaking locals, explore colonial churches, and visit the largest outdoor market and witches’ market. Discover traditional textiles at the Center for Traditional Textiles (or Chinchero if it’s a Sunday) before settling into your hotel for the night.

Day 3: Explore Cusco

Spend the day at your pace or with a guide. Highlights include:

  • Sacsayhuamán – massive Inca walls overlooking the city
  • Plaza de Armas – vibrant heart of Cusco with local markets

Day 4: Sacred Valley

    End the day in Ollantaytambo, a traditional Inca town with massive ruins.

Day 5: Inca Trail to Machu Picchu

Early train from Ollantaytambo to Trail Marker 104, starting your Inca Trail hike:

  • 3-hour climb to Wiñay Wayna ruins (2,550 m / 8,366 ft)
  • Enjoy a picnic lunch and explore the site
  • Continue 2 hours to the Sun Gate (Inti Punku) for your first stunning views of Machu Picchu
    Descend to Machu Picchu ruins for a guided tour, then take the bus to Aguas Calientes for overnight.

Day 6: Machu Picchu & Return to Cusco

Spend the morning exploring Machu Picchu with your guide:

  • Discover the Temple of the Sun, Temple of the Condor, and Intihuatana
    Optional hikes: Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain for panoramic views.
    Return to Cusco in the afternoon for a final night in the Andes.
